Rowan Trollope, is the Senior Vice President & General Manager of the Cisco's Collaboration Technology Group (). At Cisco, Trollope leads a global team responsible for the collaboration technology business, including R&D, strategy, on-line marketing, managing future growth, expansion, and continued innovation. With over $4 Billion USD annual revenue, the portfolio includes collaboration software, devices, infrastructure, and services that enable video collaboration, unified communications, customer contact centers, conferencing, mobility, and desktop virtualization. This includes such solutions as Cisco Spark, Cisco TelePresence, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise and Cisco WebEx. Under Rowan's leadership in 2013-2014 Rowan began moving the business towards the Cloud & SAAS based offers and released a slew of new Android powered desk systems as well as a new line of room systems. Prior to joining Cisco, Trollope was the Group President of the SMB and the Symantec.cloud Business Unit where he led Symantec's sales, marketing and product development teams in the small and midsized business (SMB) segment as well as Symantec.cloud, the company's Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business. He was responsible for driving Symantec's SaaS strategy and expanding cloud-based delivery and customer support models across the Symantec technology portfolio with a focus on enabling the company to better serve the SMB customer segment. Trollope was involved in the earliest days of the Internet and the computer software industry, getting a summer job at 16, where he was hunting the first computer viruses. Later, he was hired by Peter Norton Computing Inc. in Santa Monica, CA to work on the Norton products. During his time there, Trollope helped build the Norton business from a small software utilities company, to the global market leader in consumer security, and over $2 billion in annual revenue. Trollope holds a variety of patents in operating systems and Internet security. Trollope lives in San Francisco, where is he involved in the growing high-tech startup community. He serves as General Partner at a venture backed accelerator based in San Francisco focusing on Enterprise SaaS companies.
